How the calculation works

Take 29 November 2009. The month, 11, is already a master number and stays as 11. The day, 29, reduces to 2 + 9 = 11 — also a master, so it stays. The year, 2009, reduces to 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11. Adding the three gives 33, which is itself a master number and is not reduced further.

A calculator that simply sums every digit of the date gets 2 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 24 → 6, losing the master number entirely. Both methods are in circulation; reducing the components separately is the established one, and it is what this calculator does.

What a life path number is not

It is not a prediction, and it is not an excuse. Numerology is a symbolic system built on a date, not a measurement of a person, and a reading is useful in the way a good question is useful — it gives you something specific to check yourself against. Read against it as much as with it; the places where it is plainly wrong about you tend to be as informative as the places it lands.
